Thinkers Lodge Histories

Lisa Betts, firefighter from Wallace, describes her role fighting the fire at Thinkers Lodge.

Learn about the fire and those that save Thinkers Lodge.  Lisa Betts, Robert Messenger, and Wayne Smith were among firefighters from several local towns that worked together to extinguish the fire at Thinkers Lodge in 1996.  The Pugwash villagers joined them to rescue all furnishings, books, and treasures from The Lodge.  Two-hour video of fire is available in Anne Eaton's room at Thinkers Lodge.
