This summer, we were able to acquire four book cases and set them up in the hallway above the entrance and in the bedroom above Anne Eaton's room.  Then we carted all the books that had been stored in the basement and shelf them.  The next step is to organize them.  A few years back two librarians helped Cathy Eaton sort them and bring up ones we deemed more important.

The above list are from lists Cyrus Eaton made of books that he felt should be housed in Thinkers Lodge.  I suspect many of these were duplicates of ones that his library at Acadia Farms contained.  I suspect Cyrus Eaton, a voracious reader, had read many of them.  I suspect that paying attention to these authors and books will provide some insights into Eaton's mind and his appetite to learn in many disciplines.
