2. Anne Eaton’s Letter to Her Father About Seeing Neurological Specialists in Bulgaria, May 26, 1961 – From Sophia, Bulgaria (2 pages). This is a letter that Anne Eaton wrote her father about her time in Bulgaria. Cyrus Eaton was getting an honorary degree in King Boris’ palace in Sophia. Their host was the First Secretary Tudor Zhivkov of Bulgaria. He offered Anne Eaton a polio treatment and she was then examined. The specialists believed that they could help her and asked her to come spend three months with them on the Black Sea. In this letter she is explaining exactly what happened in Bulgaria to her father whom she calls “Judge”.
