​China, Chile and California -  Address of Cyrus Eaton at Meeting of Commonwealth Club of California, San Francisco, June 18, 1971 

​(Eaton connects California with China China and Chile and recommends that they be trading partners. He discusses his trip to Child in 1971 and his meeting with Allende and farmers, the involvement of the CIA and Nixon in sabotaging friendly relationships. Describes the desire to end colonialism in South America and Childe’s positive influence on early Pugwash Conferences.  Eaton then descries the US State Department’s efforts to deny China’s huge influence on the world.  Eaton descries US attempt to control who governs in China.  He criticizes role of Acheson, Nixon, Dulles, Rusk, and Johnson in their collusion to foment Red Scares.  He asks about Nixon’s plans to end war in Vietnam. To establish peace in Asia, he advocates ending Vietnam War and recognizing China. Then He advocates opportunities to trade with Chile and China)
